Meet Your WholeHearted Team

Elizabeth holds a Master's degree is Clinical Counseling and is currently pursuing her Doctorate in Community Psychology from National Louis University. She currently owns and operates the WholeHearted Living & Wellness Club. She provides individual, couples, and family therapy to adolescents, women, and men. She specializes in working with people healing from trauma and utilizes Dialectical Behavioral Therapy along with Internal Family Systems and Body Integrative modalities to work alongside her clients as they pursue their therapeutic goals. Within couples work, she finds that Emotion-Focused Therapy and Relational Life Therapy help couples move towards a workable reality, often within a realistic timeframe. All of her clinical work is grounded in the Collaborative Change Model developed by Mary Jo Barrett.
She has previously held a Community Psychology Consulting role within a rural community where she helped to assess the needs of the entire County as it pertained to mental health resources and barriers involving adolescent populations. She has previously worked at a well-regarded group therapeutic practice and multiple hospital settings in the Chicagoland area where she provided therapeutic support to patients struggling with behavioral health issues.
Research Interests
She has focused her doctoral research on participatory action research methods involving adolescents in rural communities where they are focused on concepts surrounding mental health and well-being within their community. She is interested in working with smaller communities where specific focus is being given to ideas of social cohesion, belonging, self-efficacy, and empowerment to foster growth and transformation within their adolescent population. She holds an expertise surrounding specific topics of mental health and their impact on different systems throughout communities.
My Beliefs & Values
I firmly believe that we are meant to belong and connect in this life. I created this space for women to cultivate that sense of belonging to themselves and to one another. I believe that we are responsible for finding and continuing to step into our own vitality, walk within our healing journey, and live a life full of play. I believe in the power of community. I believe that mental health is an essential element of our wellness and overall health. I believe that the body and mind are connected, and our healthcare supports should parallel this reality. I believe that my children are wiser and more clever at a young age than I will ever understand. I believe that my Grandmother's strawberries were the best on this earth. I believe in loving ourselves and laughing out loud as much as we possibly can.
